Pavilion on the Confluence
SP_2020 | Work from Beth Blostein + Todd Gannon's Graduate Studio II
The project is a pavilion for a future whiskey distillery situated on a confluence of two major rivers in downtown Columbus. The pavilion uses a singular triangular form to accommodate all of the client’s needs: an iconicity to match the brand’s innovative spirit, space for visitors who both do and do not partake in drinking, as well as space for a singular worker to provide individual tastings. The pavilion explores the range of difference that occurs through framing both literal space and the pavilion itself.
